Trees, the Artsy way

Ever sins I was a kid I have had a special love for trees, when me and my family are on vacations (driving with our caravan) I always look at all those wonderful trees around the road,
they come in so many shapes, colores and size..
And down "Romsdalen" in Norway you see some of the most beutiful in the world..
So for me trees are the perfect symbols of life...  from the small start where we grow our branches and stretching for the sun, to all the wonderful seasons...
I always think of a tree when I see this saying
" what appears to be the end is usually the start of a new beginning"
And when a tree drops it leavs it is just getting ready for a new spring.

So with that in mind her are the wonderful artsy work of our wonderful DT members

I have made my self a litte AJ page with trees and family as the topic.. The title is "tree of life"

I have made my background with first stamping with goosbumps (so the page would resist my spray ink in the shapes I wanted).. I used stamps from Kort og Godt and Bo Bunny..
I then sprayed the page with Dylusions.. After this I then stamped again using my treestamp from Kort og Godt and Archival Coffee

On the two trees that I have cut with my Tim Holtz die I have put lots of wonderful stuff.. Beadgel and Snow Tex with drops of brown and green reinkers in it..
On the tag I have stamped with archival coffee and a Kort og Godt stamp, and the vintage trinket from Prima

The letters "livets tre" are thickers and I have used some Prima chalk in the color sand on them..
The small stickers with sister, brother, child, mother, father and family are from Tim Holtz

I've made a double page in my Art Journal with the theme Tree. I just love the green colors of nature.

It all started with some green stains on the pages so I continue to add lots of green colors. I've used mists and acrylics and several different masks from TCW to bring some life in the background. The sentiment is printed from the computor and added to the page.

The tree is cut out by hand from brown paper. I've added some brown colors to bring some depth. The crown is made of skeleton leaves. They where creme colored from start, but I sprayed them with several different green mists. I added them to the page when they where completely dry. To finish I framed the pages with white Distress Crackle Paint.

I have made a tag using a stencil from TCW with a tree motif.

I stamped my embossing pad over the stencil and then used embossing powder that gave a leather look.

I decorated the tag with flowers and distressed them just a little bit to give them a more "dirty" look.

First of all a card, frame of chipboard colored with Distress Stains and Silks acrylic paints.
A backround stamp from Prima stamped with Archival Library Green. Borders are cut with a
die from Sizzix / Holtz, Twigs. Corners from ATC & Corners.

Background painted with acrylic paints. Text Stamp from PaperArtsy, I stamped on white chipboard and then cut the words apart and glued them to the background.

Next up is a huge tag (or possibly some kind of a wall hanging LOL) chipboard for a frame on this
one to, here I used black chipboard and embossed it with brown embossingpowder, woodgrain
stamp from Tim Holtz. The beautiful lady is a Stamp from PaperArtsy stamped on Manila paper.

A branch from the same die I used for the borders on the card. Embossed with green Distress Embossing powder.

Background on card created with metal-tape and embossingfolders. I've used the "Tweets and Twigs" embossingfolder from Spellbinders. After embossing it, it's painted it with acrylic paint, metallic rub-ons and Art Anthology dimensional Crystal.

Texture made with tissue, embossing powder, krylon pen, acrylic paint and beeswax. The motif is stamped on book paper and brushed with beeswax and pearl ex. The metal embellishment is a ring.
